Born in Queens, New York. A U.S.A.F. veteran, Tom began working for the Atwater Police Department in 1960. Tom was the first Detective assigned to the Atwater Police Department, he was also the Recreation Director at the same time. Tom was instrumental in forming Atwater Police Department's first Explorer Post and served as the advisor. He also was an agent for Merced County's first Narcotics Task Force in the late 1960's. Tom retired from Atwater Police Department as a Sergeant in 1981. Tom was a charter member of the Castle/Atwater Kiwanis Club and a member of the American Polygraph Association. Tom loved to fish and travel with his son Rod in their motor home chasing BMX points.
